It is interesting to see the effect of ice forming and breaking over rocks as the tide rises and falls. Here, at low tide, the ice rests on the bottom surrounded by chunks that have broken over the rock, then by the footprints of curious birds and humans. More in the "Mahone Bay in Winter" gallery.
